New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coming to 3DS

Today, Nintendo announced via Twitter that the previously reported 2D Mario title is coming to the 3DS in the form of New Super Mario Bros. 2. While many details are currently unknown, we do that the title will have Super Mario Bros. 3′s key power-up, the Raccoon Tail. Check out the first few images below:

Nintendo also confirmed that the title will release in August.
