Valve have announced the first DLC for the game Left 4 Dead 2, much to the chagrin of half Life fans everywhere. The DLC is set to be released on the Xbox 360 and PC in “early” 2010.
The Passing will set the current collection of characters from L4D2 to meet up with those survivors from the first game. The expansion is set in a rural town just outside of Georgia and while you’ll only be controlling L4D2 characters the story is very important to those that wanted to know about the previous survivors.
The DLC will provide new single player, co-operative and multiplayer content. For starters it will include new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes and introduce a new co-operative challenge mode of play. It will also have a new melee and ranged weapon. A new uncommon common enemy is set to make its appearance too.
We’ll keep you updated on when its release date and the price when announced.
