Lost Planet 3 Announced

Capcom announced the third entry to their sci-fi shooter series,Lost Planet 3 today at their annual "Captivate" showcase. It will reportedly be a prequel to the first game and will have an added emphasis on the story and characters.

It is being developed by Spark Unlimited who developed 2008 FPS,Legendary. It will be a prequel to Lost Planet : Extreme Condition and will feature a new protagonist,Jim.

According to the series director,Kenji Oguro,the action in Lost Planet 3 will most be focused on third-person shooting but it will involve few first-person sequences in Jim’s construction mech suit. It will supposedly return to the original’s icy locales after an outing in tropical forests in Lost Planet 2.
