Resident Evil 5 has already had a massive success rate and gained the support of multiple reviewers (including this one). Now Capcom have said they’re going to release Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition supporting the up-coming EyeToy motion controller that is due for launch sometime in March 2010.

In addition to the motion controls; another main-story chapter is available. Following Chris and Jill as they fight their way through the Spencer caste, previously seen only in flash-backs. So maybe fans will be able to fight old favourites; hunters, chimeras and the like as Spencer unleashes his previous experiments.

Also of interest is that Project leader Miho Suzuki said that they will be attempting to bring extra content to Xbox 360 owners as well, it’s not confirmed that the Xbox 360 RE5:AE will be compatiable with project Natal but it is possible. However it’s not clear if there will be another edition or it’ll just be another a DLC for the latest chapter.

Currently this is only announced for the Japanese market but if interest is high else-where expect to see it appearing overseas.

Also I’m not sure if multiplayer will be included in the disk or you’ll have to pay extra for it.
