According to source CVG, Bungie has just signed a 10 year contract with Activision.  This new partnership comes with news of a brand new IP in the making.

According to the agreement, Activision will have exclusive publishing and distributing rights to the new Bungie IP worldwide.  The new IP will also be released as a multiplatform game.

However, Bungie is not completely under the control of Activision.  Bungie has stated that they will remain independent and continue to make other IPs on their own.

This is Bungie’s first partnership ever since they split up with Microsoft in 2007.

Also, keep in mind that Halo is a franchise owned by Microsoft.  So don’t expect to be playing Halo on your PS3.

Keep checking the site for more news on the Bungie and Activision deal.
