Rumors about a revamped PlayStation Porable reach a fever pitch today after leaked images of the PSP Go hit the Web, courtesy of PlayStation’s Qore, a monthly subscription-based video podcast with breaking news, interviews with developers and other Sony-only subject matter.

The system in the picture above fits with what the other rumors we’ve heard so far: a slide-up screen, memory slot and no UMD player. The Gaming Console Network says the unit will also have 16 GB memory and that the Go will not replace the current PSPs on store shelves. We’re sure, like other hardware, they will be phased out after a period of time.

No price has been announced yet, but we can only imagine it will be somewhat similar to the product that Sony seems to be basing this system on — its very own Mylo — which costs roughly $200 and up. Sony has repeatedly said ‘no comment’ to rumors of a revamped PSP, but we’re sure we’ll hear more during its huge press conference on Tuesday. We’ll be covering the event live; follow GameDaily on Twitter for up-to-the-second news.
