Sonic 3 Level Designer is Working on Sonic 4.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (& Knuckles) are pretty much held up as the best 2D Sonic game ever, you may read that as just “best Sonic game ever” but that’s beside the point. Sonic 3 combined Speed, platforming, puzzles and a constant changing beautiful scenery; that would make you weep if you weren’t destroying badniks.

So it’s excellent news to learn that not only is Dimps, the team behind the Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush titles, is making the game but that previous members of Sonic Team are also helping out on the title, most notably the senior level designer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. When asked just who is making this game Dimps or Sonic Team the answer given was “both”.

So far this game is turning out perfectly and ticks all the right boxes; I just hope that Sega manages to pull it off.
