Platinum Games confirmed that their upcoming online brawler, Anarchy Reigns will be delayed in North America and Europe after SEGA apparently set its launch date in the West as “TBC” (To Be Confirmed),despite the fact that the game is “finished” according to Platinum.
In a statement on their official blog, Platinum stated, “While our work on the game is finished, localized, and ready to go, as publisher, SEGA gets to make the final decision as to when it is released”
“In the West, Sega is looking for the best time to put it out. It will still be out in July. There will still be ways for you to get it if you know where to go. We’re still 100 per cent behind the game and we still want to connect with you and play with you and have a good time. So let’s make sure that happens no matter what bad news we get.”
The Platinum representative has however emphasized that it has only been delayed and not cancelled.
The Japanese release date of Anarchy Reigns however remains unchanged, however, and will be available July 5.

Having built a respectable following in the West on the back of memorable games like MadWorld, Bayonetta and Vanquish, this delay will certainly have disappointed their fans.
