With EA releasing their fiscal reports for late last year and early this year, huge sales numbers have improved EA’s profits and portfolio. Besides selling 4 million units of FIFA 10, Madden NFL 10, The Sims ™3, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Need for Speed™ Shift, Battlefied 1943 has sold 1.5 million units on both consoles. For a download only game, that is insanely impressive.

Battlefield 1943 has reached the top of the best selling list for downloadable titles while surpassing the likes of the mighty GT5P and Castle Crashers.

We congratulate Dice for creating such a easy to get into downloadable title for a cheap price along with EA becoming the #1 publisher on every platform except for Nintendo platforms. EA is the #1 third party publisher on those platforms however.

With games like Dead Space 2, Crysis 2, Madden and the anticipated new Medal of Honor title, it’s no guess that EA will stay on top for a long time to come.
