GOD OF WAR 3 REVIEW
We review the most anticipated game of 2010.

Violence in videogames has always been around. From the days of Mario, it has been welcomed into this industry with open arms. However, no game has used "violence" to the fullest like God of War 3. Kratos returns to Sony's console, the PS3, with a vengeance and a quest for blood.

Upon starting up God of War 3, the first thing that really gets to you is the amazing presentation. The introduction and the simple but still stylish menu layouts are impressive. The Greek mythology theme can be seen everywhere. The loading screens, the options, and even the music. The game's fixed camera can be seen as a problem on paper but it's always in the right places and will never leave a blind spot. A friend once asked what separates God of War from other games in the genre, and the obvious answer was the effort Santa Monica put into the series to keep you immersed and entertained.

The presentation isn't the only thing that's incredible in God of War 3. The graphics are outstanding and I would have to say that it's one of the best looking games on consoles. No hiccups, no screen tearing, a framerate always above 30 frames per second and some of the best character models in the industry keep your eyes glued to the screen. Kratos is the best looking character model in videogames. The attention to his scars, his pale skin and his facial animations almost make it seem as if he's coming out of the screen to get you. But even God of War 3 has its share of problems, in both slightly less than average textures and glitches. Some of the main glitches were fixed with the 1.01 patch, but there is still a notable amount of them.

The sound compliments the graphics as everything sounds so good you might as well be one of the mythological creatures Kratos is fighting. The towering voice of Kratos makes you whimper in fear and the sound of heads being ripped off will put a smile on your face. The thundering booms of titans and the thuds from your Cestus in 7.1 surround sound will make your ears experience ecstasy.
