I recently was able to play the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 demo. The demo offered up two different things players I could choose to do. There was the play now mode in which I could have played 3 holes at two different courses: Celtic Manor Resort and Liberty National. The other mode that the demo offered was a mini Ryder Cup tournament which I thought was a good addition to the demo.
After doing all I could possible do in the demo I was left underwhelmed with what I had played. The gameplay is very similar to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 with a few tweaks like the true-aim feature, which allows players to see the course through the eyes of a pro. This new element is something new, but did not wow me all that much. The demo also sports a Ryder Cup mini tournament, which was was well done for the demo and makes me to see what they do with it in the full game. The graphics are a bit crisper than they were in last year's game, but overall not a huge improvement in that department. Another bright spot with this demo is the fact that any experience points you earn while playing will carry over to your created player if you purchase the full game.
Four!
Overall I had fun with the demo, but I could have put in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and would have not noticed a change in what I was playing. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is scheduled for release on June 8th, 2010 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii.
