According to Microsoft, the new Xbox 360 Slim console consumes roughly 10% less power than the existing Jasper Xbox 360s.

But it's still more power hungry than Sony's PlayStation 3 Slim which uses 95W while gaming or watching a Blu-ray movie.

According to official statistics released by Microsoft, the new Xbox 360 only requires 135W of power while gaming, as opposed to the 150W the existing Jasper Xbox 360 requires.

The power consumption drops to just 1W when putting the new Slim 360 into standby, a whopping 50% reduction off the 2W the older Jasper models use.

The New Xbox 360 Slims will be shipping out during the week.
