Last month we brought you Uncharted: The Movie now I bring you Asteroids: The Movie. Yes that’s right the 1979 classic arcade game, with absolutely no plotline, is being made into a movie. Encase you never played the original it consists of controlling a triangle or “spaceship” while avoiding large blobs or “asteroids” you could also shoot a white pixel or “bullets” to break up the asteroids.

 

 

 

Universal has won the rights to do a movie of the game Asteroids with Matthew Lopez (Race to Witch Mountain) to write the script and the producer is set as Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Stardust, Shooter, Doom).

 

I expect Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson to play the triangle, let’s face it with his past experiences with both writer and producer coupled with the shape of his chin, its obvious.
