Some time ago, there was a rumor floating around regarding the re-boot of the Spider-man series, claiming that Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) would play The Lizard. The rumor sounded convincing; just picture it, it would be pretty awesome.
 
Nevertheless, an inner source told Super Hero Hype that no one has been cast for the role yet. That means there a slight chance Waltz  will be in the film.
 
 
We'll see.

I don't know if he would fit but he was great in Inglourious Basterds. Probably the best actor in the film.
