DS LIVES ON, EVEN AFTER 3DS

The Nintendo DS has enjoyed stellar success since it's original debut back in late 2004. The system has a large library of a variety of games, and has gone on to outsell the competition by a fairly wide margin. Yet sales are slowing down, and the world is on the edge of it's seat as the portable's successor, the 3DS, gets ready to make it's way to market in early 2011. Is the DS dying a slow death?
That's not so, according to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. Although he admits that Nintendo would be hard-pressed to deliver brand-new DS titles while prepping for the launch of the 3DS, he has gone on record saying that localization teams are currently working on titles to be released across the world. What titles are these? Games that were previously available only in Japan. In order to flesh out the release calendar for the DS even after the 3DS hits store shelves, games that have not been released to other countries will be made available to customers, according to Nintendo.
As to exactly which games those will be, Nintendo is staying silent for the moment. There are some worthy candidates in Nintendo's back catalog for the DS; including a Fire Emblem title, a music-rhythm game, and Monolithsoft's epic action-RPG, Soma Bringer.
