METROID: OTHER M INFO.
More about feelings than blowing things up.

Metroid: Other M has a lot of hype to live up to, a baying fan base of both the original side-scrolling type and the Retro Studios 3D Shooter (which isn’t a shooter at all if you ask a fan) and Other M is attempting to merge both of these together, giving us side-scrolling sections, the ability to switch to first person and massive bosses that fill the screen and needs us to use all our powers to bring them down...or you know, use the last one we just picked up in the room before hand.

Well according to the Famitsu Metroid co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto says that the game will focus more on the human side of Samus, the little girl behind the super-armour.

"[Different] from the rest of the series, this time we're strongly depicting the human side of Samus through such things as movies," Yakamoto said. "She's a strong woman, but she also has a fragile side. We want to make a game whose charms can be felt from the story areas and these human touches as well. It's an action game, but it's capable of having a clear emotional side."

He also briefly talked about what I was rambling about earlier "This Metroid is being developed with the aim of the ideal form of the old Metroid ...[this]can be realized because of the Wii." saying it involves the same 2D jump action game of original games that seamlessly merges with the 3D action .

I have a feeling that this is going to agitate the hardcore Metroid fanbase.....I have already seen many a Metroid fan arguing over this.
