Some of you may or not know of the upcoming game "The Grinder" being made by High Voltage Software. The former zombie, werewolf and imp infested first person shooter was, at one point in its lifecycle confirmed to be a Wii Exclusive, but that all changed just a couple months back. It is now currently scheduled to release on all current gen consoles including PC.
As if that is not surprising enough; High Voltage Software has announced today at GDC that they have turned the 360 version of the game into a top down shooter. You know what they say "if you can't beat em then change genres"(Is that really how it goes?). In any case, High Voltage Software has shown skepticism as to whether or not they want to apply this facelift to the Wii version of the game.
The fps genre is not as saturated on Wii as it is on the HD consoles, so it maybe best to keep the Wii version as such. As far as I'm concerned the 360 version is looking more like an Xbox Live Arcade title than a full-retail release and I'm under the impression that The Grinder will be too big to fit Wiiware's filesize limitations. Either way, I am interested in seeing how the game turns out in the long run.
