Cheating in online games, its serious business. So when during a Counter Strike match in a net-café in China’s northern province of Jilin; when a group of teenagers found that one of the players were cheating, well they went straight for the head shot.

He had allegedly been cheating, using a WallHack which allowed him to see through walls. After his discovery an argument broke out which culminated with the 17 year old cheater being stabbed in the head with a rusty 30cm blade. The assailants fled the scene after the attack and because the net cafe didn’t require users to provide ID like other net-cafes in the country, it makes tracking the attackers even harder. He was then rushed to hospital, while fully conscious and the decision was to immediately operate.

As you can clearly see from the above images it is firmly embedded in his skull but miraculously the blade narrowly avoided major arteries, avoiding a devastating haemorrhage, and failed to impair his motor control despite passing through areas of the brain associated with such. He has just undergone a 10 hour operation where they have opened his skull and removed the blade.
Currently it seems to have gone well but because the blade was rusty he is placed under observation in case fragments of rust left inside his brain cause complications.

Oh my gosh, this is really terrible. Hope he gets a speedy recovery. "Anti-Hack" crossing the line?
