PLAYSTATION 3, 3D UPDATE DOESN'T COVER BLUE RAY MOVIES.
You'll either have to buy a new 3D-DVD player or wait.

3D gaming is the future and it’s coming out in June, as previously reported, however it seems that Sony won’t include 3D compatibility with new 3D movies in the update.

While the PS3 will support 3D movies in the future that firmware update won’t be ready until later in the year, how much later I can’t say. You still do get to enjoy 3D versions of Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust HD on your new expensive set up though.

It’s not all bad news though, earlier this week we reported that you’ll have to purchase your own glasses but Sony are all set to give a 3D bundle to early buyers of the HX803 TV, you’ll receive a 3D accessory pack containing two sets of glasses and a 3D transmitter (while stocks last). Also what I didn’t know is that the glasses require batteries, which should provide 100hours of viewing.
